10 Coolest Flat Shoes for Brides | 2018 Bridal Flats Inspiration

We’ve received some messages from brides who are high-heel avoidant, terrified that they’ll fall up the aisle on their big day. We always say the same thing; you don’t have to do the bridal march in heels, you can get a load of lads to carry you, Mariah Carey Style. Simple, effective, sorted.

Alternatively, though why you’d need an alternative is beyond us, get yourself some bridal flats. We’re spoiled for choice at the minute, with many designers launching entire ranges for flat wedding shoes. Here are our favourites:

French Sole Bridal Slippers

French Sole is our first choice for statement flats. The Confetti Collection is the best bet for traditional bridal styles, but we love the Mrs Alice collaboration the most. The bright embroidering and cartoonish motifs pair beautifully with the classic slipper shape.

Our pick is the No Place Like Home bridal flats; they’d look gorgeous in those getting-ready detail photographs.

Charlotte Olympia Bridal Flats

We couldn’t make this list without Charlotte Olympia’s Kitty Flats; we’re cat people as much as we are shoe people at Only a Wedding.

You’ll have to part with a hefty chunk of cash for the style in classic shades, but seasonal designs are nearly always reduced. We stalk The Outnet sales while we’re still waiting for that lotto win.

BHLDN Wedding Shoes

We’ve already talked about how to get BHLDN’s budget-friendly wedding dresses to Ireland, but we didn’t get a chance to chat about the brand’s bridal accessories. Let’s remedy that with a look at the Gigi flats; super chic, sparkly and elegant.

If it’s not by choice that you’re ditching heels (we’ve heard from brides who’ve broken ankles in their wedding week), these are the perfect shape for you. The pointed toe will lengthen your leg, creating a bit of a high-heel illusion.

ASOS Wide Fit Wedding Flats

ASOS is brilliant for budget wedding shoes, and its wide fit range deserves a special mention. It’s extensive, ranging from size two to size ten, and some of our favourite styles cost less than twenty quid. Score!

At the minute, we’re into these simple-but-effective glitter flats.

KEDS x Kate Spade Wedding Sneakers

KEDS made headlines when it expanded its glittery tennis shoe range to include extra bridal flats. The most popular are the bow-laced bedazzled canvas shoes, available in white, pinks and metallics.
